In   2012,   myself   and   Alex   Smerchynski   joined   forces after   attempting   to   start   a   band   and   worked   on   an album     with     just     the     two     of     us.     Alex     was     an experienced    and    talented    writer    (who    eventually became    a    fantastic    producer)    and    had    previously worked   closely   with   Winnipeg’s   own   Fresh   IE   and   I composed   and   played   guitar.   We   finished   six   songs together   and   released   an   EP   called   EDIFY.   It   featured various    local    talents    such    as    Joel    Ruhr,    AJ,    Larry Leask,   Byron   Foster,   and   Dee   Liandra.   The   EP   was produced   and   mixed   by   Byron   Foster   with   half   the songs   written   and   composed   by   ourselves   and   the rest   by   Byron.   We   never   finished   the   final   album   but instead    moved    on    to    a    new    project    we    called Ignition .   Our   singles   Superstar ,   Sold   Out ,   and   Thank You      made     a     successful     run     on     Christian     radio stations   across   Canada,   but   especially   in   our   base city    of    Winnipeg,    Manitoba    with    the    local    radio station CHVN.
